Vallam Kali is the boat race that happens in kerala. They use chundan vallams or snake boats.these are narrow boats over 100 feet long with a raised prow that stands 10 feet above the water and resembles the hood of the snake.each one accommodates about a hundred muscular oarsmen.this boat races are occasions of great excitement and entertainment with thousands gathered on banks to watch and cheer.most of these races are held in kollam region.

Kerala is best known for its literacy rate. It is noted as 93.91 percent in 2011 censes. Ayurveda and sidda is widely popular in the state and draws increasing number of tourists. Arts of kerala includes dance(mohiniaattam), music,martial arts,body painting,masking and ritualistic functions.one can completely see a whole different world in their arts.
